The College of Business prides itself on concept application. To this end, a majority of our programs require students to have an internship experience prior to graduation. Professors and faculty help with internship preparation and application to ensure student success throughout the process.

Accounting Society

Accounting Society members receive up-to-date public accounting information and out-of-classroom experiences. They participate in formal and informal events and network and interact with accounting professionals.

In addition to internship opportunities, Eastern encourages students to learn more about their field through undergraduate research experiences. Not only are students provided with the opportunity to work with qualified professionals in their field, but are also welcome to present at the yearly CREATE conference right here on campus.

Finance

Caleb Ennin '23

Finance major Caleb Ennin is an Advisor Support & Financial Planning Specialist at Johnson Brunetti Retirement & Investment Specialists. Through qualified professors at Eastern and professionals he met at his internship with Hartford Steam Boiler, Ennin was able to make connections and learn from others in his field, two things he considers most valuable when reflecting on his time at Eastern.

Business Administration

Alexis Silva '22

Business Administration major Alexis Silva was able to peer tutor, complete an internship, and place as a finalist in a statewide elevator pitch competition through Eastern. She was able to accomplish this in only 3.5 years, and says Eastern provided her with a strong foundation for her career and law school through class sizes, faculty, and other opportunities.

Jake Cohen '25

BIS major Jake Cohen worked for Travelers this past summer in their Leadership Development Program. Through the BIS curriculum, he was able to learn important technical and business skills, as well as critical thinking in a business-tech space. Cohen was able to apply them at competitions such as the Annual U.S. IT Collegiate Conference, as well as his internship with Travelers.
