Academic Success Center

The Academic Success Center (ASC) offers a variety of resources for students to utilize.

  • Advising Center is where students can can assistance with academic planning (i.e. determinig available course to register for) and adjusting to college.
  • Global Learning is an option for students who want to participate in National Student Exchange Program and/or a Global Field Course.
  • Office of Career Success where you will find resources and counselors to support and guide you thorugh you career journey.
  • Writing Center provides support and feedback for students who may have difficulty creating an ouline for assignments, experincing writter block, difficulty developing a topic, or are not sure if their citations are correct.
  • Mathematics Achievement Center (MAC) offers free math tutoring services for students.
  • Tutoring and Learning Strategies offers personalized academic support, which aids students in developing effective study habits and a deeper comprehension of the course material.

Housing & Residential Life
Eastern’s Housing and Residential Life department provides various residential halls and activities throughout the year that allow students to participate and enjoy life on campus. Students seeking a housing accommodation must register with the OAS.

Health Services
The Student Health Services provides affordable, comprehensive, compassionate, and accessible primary healthcare and educational opportunities to students for their overall health and well-being.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)
For additional support, consultation, or clinical intervention visit Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS).

Office of AccessAbility Services (OAS)
Provides academic, housing, and/or temporary accommodations for student who have documented disabilities. If you are a student who is seeking accommodations, please vist the Office of AccessAbility Services (OAS) for more information on how to register with their office. 

Eastern Student Support Program (ESSP)
Meet one-on-one with an ESSP Coach for additional support with academic and social skills. ESSP coaches can help with various topics such as note-taking, scheduling, procrastination, study skills, time management, making friends, and/or navigating campus. Students can also secure appointments through the Eastern Student Support Program Booking Link and can book regularly throughout the semester.

SensusAccess for the Eastern Community
Visit our SensusAccess page to learn how to transform documents into various digital formats using SensusAccessSensusAccess is a self-service tool that converts files into other digital formats. Individuals can book a 1:1 session for guidance on evaluating the digital accessibility levels of files.

Getting Around Campus

  • If you are unsure about the the parking policies and procedure at Eastern, visit the Campus Parking web page for more information.
  • Looking for accessible parking and building entrances & exits, please refer to the Accessibility Map. You may also contact the University Police for the most up to date parking information at 860-465-5502 during regular business hours and 860-465-5310 after hours. 
  • Shuttle Location APP: TransLoc Rider app to get this service on your smartphone. Review Eastern's Shuttle Service web page to learn how to download the app.
  • Police officers and the student patrol are available to escort individuals to and from any location on campus after shuttle hours or for specific circumstances. Call the Police Department at 860-465-5310 to request an escort.
