TheDream.US is the largest college and career success program for undocumented immigrant youth in the U.S., offering over 10,000 scholarships to students attending more than 80 partner colleges across 20+ states and Washington, DC. TheDream.US scholarships are for highly motivated undocumented students who want to get a college education but are unable to afford the cost. They have no access to federal aid, limited access to state aid, and they sometimes face paying out-of-state tuition.
The University Opportunity Programs (UOP) office at Eastern Connecticut State University is proud to support TheDream.US Opportunity and National Scholarship programs. At Eastern, the UOP office provides dedicated support services for all TheDream.US scholars. While at Eastern scholars will work closely with the Director and Assistant Director of UOP, and their assigned scholar advisor from the Advising Center, these individuals will guide students through university resources, help them plan their academic journey, and support them in managing personal challenges.
The UOP office and Library 107 function as the home base for scholars to gather, study, and ask questions. As a recipient of TheDream.US, it is required to attend monthly group meetings and complete community service requirements to maintain good standing with the program.
