Digital Studios

The Digital Studios within the Department of Art and Art History provide an extensive selection of software and Mac computer workstations. These labs are equipped with various scanners, projectors, 2D/3D printers, and VR headsets to cater to a diverse range of creative needs. Whether you're working on tasks like video editing, graphic design, 3D modeling, or animation, our labs offer the necessary resources and assistance for your projects.

Digital Studios Resources

  • Equipment checkout is available to faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students within the Art and Art History department. Students must obtain faculty approval before checking out equipment. To request equipment, please choose any of the options below:

    1. Complete the ONLINE LOAN FORM
    2. Complete the LOAN FORM PDF digitally, then send to Roxanne McCollum at mccollumr@easternct.edu
    3. Complete and print the LOAN FORM PDF, then deliver it to Roxanne's mailbox in the Art department office or in her office FAIC 316.

    Important Notice:

    • Students will be required to have contracts signed by both themselves and their permitting professor in order to check out media equipment.
    • All equipment requests require a minimum of 2 days' notice and are subject to the availability of Media Services staff.
    • All equipment is on a first come first served basis.
    • Any loan requests which are intended to be on extended periods should be approved by the course instructor as noted in the contract.

  • Students can access Adobe Creative Cloud on their personal laptops or computers, but they must be physically on campus and connected to the campus Wi-Fi or Ethernet for the license to function. Below are the instructions and necessary installers.

    • Unzip the packages and locate the build folders.
    • On Windows: be sure to run the setup.exe out of the build folder.
    • On MacOS: run the CreativeCloudDesktopApp_Install.pkg out of the build folder.
