Join us for a special talk with medical interpreters from Interpreters & Translators, Inc., the language services contractor for UConn Health.
On November 11 the World Languages and Cultures Department and the Department of Health Sciences welcome William Raymond and Francesco Pagano of Interpreters & Translators, Inc. for a conversation about the field of medical interpreting.
This in-person special lecture will be held in Room 114 of the Science Building from 3-4 pm on Wednesday, November 11.
The speakers will offer students a day-in-the-life perspective on medical interpreting, talk about trends in the field of interpreting, and offer career advice for using language skills in the healthcare sector.
This talk is one of number of events planned to support Eastern’s new Medical Interpreting in Spanish Minor. The intent of these special events are to offer students unique out-of-classroom experiences and perspectives, as well as raise awareness about the new minor.
This talk is geared to students pursuing a Medical Interpreting in Spanish Minor, but it is open to all students. Please join us.
