Jazz Piano Studies at Eastern

Students enrolled in Jazz Piano study jazz piano in terms of learning standard tunes, chord voicings, solo transcription, and improvisation.  Although the lessons focus on solo playing, the elements of performing in an ensemble context are also explored.

Students have performed with the Jazz Combo and Jazz Ensemble at Eastern.  Some students have also pursued performances in local venues in Hartford and Mohegan Sun.
