Reader Card

Your name will be announced as you walk across the stage at Commencement by way of your Reader Card. This card has your Diploma Name, degree, school, and graduation honors (if applicable). This card is useful to help you locate your seat at Commencement and also will help the card reader properly pronounce your name as you cross the stage. Reader cards will be ready to pick up at the XL center the day of commencement. All graduates MUST pick up their reader card (view a sample reader card) before lining up for the Commencement procession.

You will fill-in the sounds like/phonetic spelling area, if required, after you pick-up your Reader Card and are waiting in your designated line-up area. Please download the phonetic spelling worksheet prior to Commencement so that you are prepared to add the sounds like/phonetic spelling of your name to your Reader Card. A space with tables, pencils and sounds like/phonetic spelling worksheet will be provided in your designated line-up area. Your Reader Card also has requested information from the commencement photographer on the back side.
