    1. Complete and submit a CPS Non-Disclosure Agreement 
    2. Send over your academic transcript (an unofficial one from eWebb is fine)
    3. Send over your resume
    4. Apply to Applitrack to apply as a Group Two Volunteer. This will notify Human Resources of the application.

    Human Resources will then reach out to you regarding the next steps, including fingerprinting.

  • Complete Student Teacher Application in Frontline, including an uploaded mandated reporter training certificate from the state mandated reporter training.

    1. Complete the DCF Form
    2. Complete the NCPA Waiver Form
    3. Complete the Visitors Acknowledgement Form.

    Your appointment will be scheduled at Central Office - Hartford Public Schools, 330 Wethersfield Avenue, Hartford, CT  06114 (This is Central office’s address at Bulkeley High School, park in back and enter through the Hartford Public Schools Administration entrance.)

    You must pre-enroll through the Connecticut Criminal History Request System within 48 hours of this email. Please find the link here: https://ct.flexcheck.us.idemia.io/CCHRSPreEnroll/. The fee will be $11.25, and payment must be made via Visa or Mastercard. Your pre-enrollment service code is 8CF8-8D1F.

    Onsite at Central Office - Hartford Public Schools you will need to pay the HPS Fingerprinting fee. HPS Fingerprinting fees can be paid with Money orders or Cashier’s checks and should be made payable to Hartford Public Schools. Fees are as follows: $6.75 Part-Time

  • To begin the background check and fingerprinting process, please complete the following forms and email them directly to Heather Gates before registering for fingerprinting. You have two options to get fingerprinted.

    If you want to use the Local Police Department/State Police Barracks:

    If you want to go through CREC/EASTCONN/RESC (please let Heather know if going this route, additional paperwork will be needed):

    Once Ms. Gates receives the completed forms from you, she will contact you directly and give you the information you will need to go for fingerprinting at the local PD/Police Barracks/Biometrics or CREC/EASTCONN. She will need the completed forms before she can release the instructions for fingerprinting.

    For your information, students will have 2 separate payments for fingerprints. 

    1. Students will have to now pre-pay and pre-register before making the appointment and going to get prints done - this is the $11.25 that would have come to our HR department originally. They would pay for this online.
    2. Students will also have to pay at the facility for services/actually print taking ($15 for State Barracks, $25 for local PD/biometrics, CREC/EASTCONN varies).
