Minors

A minor consists of an approved planned program of study of at least 15 credits. In such cases where majors, minors, and liberal arts core curriculum share courses, a minimum of nine (9) credits must be unique to each minor.

Students may declare/ change their minor using their Eastern email and sending the following information to registrar@easternct.edu (if you are making multiple changes to your program, that do not require additional approval, you should include all changes in a single email. Separate emails are not necessary):

  • Name, ID Number
  • Minor to be Added and/or Dropped

The Registrar’s Office will process your request and respond via Eastern email once processed.

**Please note the following minors require approval from the program chair or coordinator**:

Biology; Paramedic Science; English; Writing; and Geographic Information Systems.

If for some reason you are unable to access your Eastern email account, you may fill out a Minor Form , print it, sign it and then email it to the Department Chairperson, asking that they forward your form and their approval to registrar@easternct.edu.
