Trip to Africa

Overview and Objectives
The Africa project is a collaborative effort by Faculty in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Social Work and the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Eastern, and the Institute for Development Studies and Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, with the support of President Elsa Núñez of Eastern Connecticut State University, the Vice Chancellor at University of Cape Coast, and the Dean, of the School of Arts and Sciences, the Vice President of Student Affairs, the Financial Aid Office, the Multicultural Center, the Women's Center, and the Advisement Center at Eastern to provide Eastern's Students with first hand exposure to the problems of development in Africa, and the cultures of the Ghanaian People.
