  • The Listening and Learning Tour is an initiative by President Ismaili to engage with faculty, staff, students, and members of the broader Eastern community. The purpose is to foster meaningful discussions, gather insights, and better understand the needs and aspirations of our campus community. The feedback collected will help shape Eastern's strategic planning process for the future.

  • All members of the Eastern Connecticut State University community are invited to participate. This includes faculty, staff, students, and others who are part of the Eastern family. We want to hear from a diverse range of voices and experiences!

  • You can sign up by filling out the interest form: https://forms.office.com/r/vbAzHWhTRX?origin=lprLink. The deadline to submit your interest is October 4th. After you’ve expressed interest, you will receive a confirmation of your assigned meeting time and location, along with details on the meeting’s structure.

  • Meetings will be scheduled in waves based on the responses received after the October 4th deadline. Sessions will be organized by campus topics, and each session will include a cross-section of participants from various departments and roles.

  • Each Listening and Learning session will focus on a specific campus topic, allowing participants to discuss shared experiences and ideas. For example, a session might focus on campus safety and security, bringing together staff from housing, campus police, shuttle services, and environmental health. Sessions are designed to ensure a broad range of perspectives.

  • Once you submit your interest form, you will receive a confirmation email with the date, time, and location of your assigned session. You’ll also receive an outline of the meeting’s structure and key themes for discussion. An Outlook calendar invitation will be sent as a reminder.

  • Your feedback during the Listening and Learning sessions will be synthesized into a comprehensive report. This report will help inform President Ismaili’s decisions and will be shared with the campus community and key external stakeholders as part of our strategic planning process.
