The Asian Cultural Society is collabing with the @eastern_ic (Intercultural Center) to host the holiday of Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights!

This event will take place in the Betty Tipton Room (next to the Student Center Theatre), on Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 5-7pm. There will be crafts, food and a special performance by UConn ThundeRaas! 🪔

We hope you stop by, and you may also bring friends as well to learn about this holiday and what it means to others!

Thanks so much for joining our event! We had a good turnout and, of course, the food was fantastic.

We'd like to thank our performers from @uconnthunderaas for enriching the celebration and giving a memorable performance!

We also would like to thank the @eastern_ic for being a fellow host of the event.

We do have just a couple more club meetings this Fall 2024 semester, we hope to see you there in Stu 107 for a good time!

We're having a goodie bag fundraiser on Halloween this year! Each bag is $4 filled with Chocopie, Hello Pandas, Pocky, and more!

Stop by the Stu Vendor Table from 11am to 2pm to get yours that day!

**Location Update**, our fundraiser is still on Thursday, October 31st! This time, we're located in the Stu Mezzanine (between the Café and Theatre), running from 11AM - 2PM.

Each goodie bag is $4 and filled with candy, perfect for Halloween.

What a great turnout yesterday. A huge thank you to all who stayed for a good time in the Stu café, we almost didn't have enough space in this venue for all of you!

We hope you had a great time making your lanterns, having mooncake, and coming out of this event with a bit more knowledge about this holiday than before!

*** Next Events ***
On Wednesday, October 9th, we are having our Goodie Bag Fundraiser from 11am-1pm at one of the Student Center vendor tables.

And the next day on Thursday, October 10th, we will be having a Tea Night where you can join us in Stu 107 (room with the nice chairs), for a nice beverage and feel free to bring your own to the meet!
