Introduction

The past year has seen much progress on the Eastern Connecticut State University campus. New majors, new facilities, faculty and student achievements, and institutional milestones have marked the year. As always, the University has been focused on providing students with an academically challenging learning environment that provides each student with opportunities for personal attention, intellectual growth, and engagement in a variety of on- and off-campus applied learning experiences.

Milestones included the record-breaking generosity of our alumni and other donors: a record number of alumni donors and other generous supporters allowed Eastern to award a record $750,000 in scholarship funds this year. A number of academic measures-graduation rates, rankings in national publications and other metrics-further indicate that Connecticut's public liberal arts university is firmly committed to providing each Eastern student with an outstanding personal college experience.
