Introduction

The past year has been highlighted by progress on numerous fronts across Eastern Connecticut State University. The energies of faculty, staff and students have been directed toward new ideas, new programs and services, and new facilities. It has been a time of renewal and a time to look to the future. Students, faculty and staff worked together on and off campus to create a community built on knowledge, research and solving the problems of the world today, while meeting the education demands of the 21st-century. Intellectually engaged by a broad-based interdisciplinary liberal arts curriculum, students also found an increasing number of opportunities to apply their skills in practical settings.
