Eastern is proud of its 30,000 living alumni, some of whom went to Eastern when it was still the Willimantic State Teachers College more than 60 years ago. Throughout its name changes, new buildings and student population growth, Eastern has remained a family of learners connected by shared values and a common educational experience. Eastern continues to maintain close connections with its alumni through social events, professional networking and alumni services. At the same time, Eastern alumni support current students through scholarship funds, internship placements and other assistance.

Erika Sanchez

Erika Sanchez ’15

Erika is a Bilingual Sexual Assault & Campus Advocate at the Center for Family Justice in Bridgeport. “We often see one narrative in main stream society.
