Submitting an academic alert notifies the Academic Success Center that a student is at risk in an academic course. Once alerted, advisors in the Advising Center will actively reach out to students to provide support, suggest related campus resources, and work toward resolving the concern. Without an academic alert, advisors may be unaware of a student's current academic performance.
If you have concerns about a student’s academic performance or progress in a course, we encourage you to submit an Early Alert Report. Alerts can be submitted for any academic reason, including:
- Excessive absences
- Not submitting assignments
- Low quiz/exam grades
