Elizabeth Dowding“I felt like I was at home the first time I came to Eastern for a tour. Something about the atmosphere on campus spoke to me, and that feeling hasn’t changed in my time at Eastern. My decision was certainly helped by the fact that I would be just far away enough from home to gain some independence but close enough in case of an emergency. Eastern ultimately ended up being the most affordable school I applied to as well, which came as a relief to me because I knew from my first tour I wanted to attend school here.”

Jonah Badiab“I chose Eastern because it offered me the ability to be independent, while being only a short drive away from home. I have enjoyed Eastern because of the overall experience I have had, both in the small classrooms with experienced professors, and the large number of clubs and organizations, which have allowed me to develop my leadership skills and network with other students. The tuition break program has been instrumental in ensuring that I have been able to continue to afford my education each semester. The program assists Eastern in fostering a diverse student body, which is extremely important to me and part of the reason I love Eastern.”

Samantha Honeywell“Once I stepped on campus I fell in love! Eastern is about two hours from home, which is a nice distance. By staying on campus, I have made so many more friends. Because class sizes are small, I get to know every person in my class, and I have an actual relationship with my professors — one of them was even able to help me get an internship after my first year with Fox17 News in Nashville, TN!”

Brighton Leonard“Eastern was the clear choice for me to pursue higher education. No state school in Rhode Island had a sport and leisure management major, and most other out-of-state schools were so expensive, it made me rethink what I wanted to do for a major. Then I heard about Eastern’s tuition break program. After I visited the campus, it was an easy decision to come here. Everyone is very kind and welcoming, and it is overall just a great place to be.”
