Dear Mr. Fred Hughs,

I am writing you today to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the BlumShapiro Scholarship I have been awarded for the spring semester of 2019. As this is my last semester at Eastern Connecticut State University, this scholarship truly allows me to finish my degree and graduate on time to join the BlumShapiro team in June!

Although we already know each other pretty well, I wanted to reiterate why your scholarship donation means so much to me. I grew up in a single immigrant parent, low income household. While my mother did the best she could when I was younger, college is something she could not afford to help me with. This meant that textbooks, my first car, food, and other necessities were all left to me.  Fortunately, I have been able to support myself financially with an on-campus job and an amazing internship I had last summer.  As you can guess, scholarships have been my saving grace throughout my college career, and to get one from my soon-to-be employer is pretty awesome.

I plan on using your scholarship donation to cover my textbook expenses for this semester, as well as a meal plan.

I will never be able to thank you enough for the amazing opportunities your company has offered me.  On days where my final year of school seems to be too much to handle, I find myself counting my Blum-blessings. I cannot wait to be back at the office and setting up as many Bricco lunches as I can. See you soon!
