The Dr. Wendi J. Everton Memorial Endowed Scholarship at Eastern was endowed in 2024 with a substantial gift from Norma Vivar, Wendi’s wife. Wendi was a brilliant professor at Eastern for 18 years who genuinely cared about her students. She loved her profession and always encouraged students to pursue careers doing what they loved. She was also an avid reader, a fierce tri-athlete and a terrific singer. Wendi was homebound for the last five years of her life but continued with her boundless interest in people and the world. She cherished her family and all who came to visit her.  Wendi passed away on January 5, 2024. The recipient(s) must be Psychology majors in good academic standing with need.

Students are encouraged to file the FAFSA by March 1
