This scholarship was started in 2021 by Dan's sister, Mary Prior-Kozicki ‘90, and brother, John Prior ’89, both proud Eastern graduates. Dan was very fond of his experience at Eastern and began his career at WFSB in Hartford, moved on to Washington, DC to work with the George Michael Sports Machine, and ultimately landed at Fox Sports in Charlotte, NC. Dan reached the pinnacle of Sports Editing, receiving an Emmy for his work. Recipients of this scholarship will be Communications majors in good academic standing who demonstrate financial need and have expressed an interest in getting involved with television broadcasting either in production or serving as on-air talent.
