The Orientation program helps new students become familiar with Eastern while learning strategies for ensuring their academic and social success. During orientation, students will:

Meet other incoming students and are introduced to current student leaders
Get to know the faculty and staff
Acclimate to campus
Become familiar with on-campus services and resources
Prepare for academic advisement, registration and other aspects of course selection
Learn about Eastern’s culture of respect, and the importance of civility, inclusion and minimizing risky behaviors

Additionally, the Orientation program will:

Create a welcoming environment that builds a sense of community
Encourage students to take responsibility for their own growth and development by getting involved on campus
