Eastern hosting Prison Arts Program annual exhibition 45th annual show on display from Dec. 8 to Feb. 28

Eastern Connecticut State University will host a major showcase of prison artworks from Dec. 8 through Feb. 28, 2026, in the Art Gallery of the Fine Arts Instructional Center. Organized by Community Partners in Action (CPA), the exhibition marks the 45th annual show of CPA’s Prison Arts Program and features 604 artworks by 162 artists from nine Connecticut correctional facilities.

Psychology students present at ‘Psychapalooza’

Eastern’s Department of Psychological Science hosted its semesterly research showcase, “Psychapalooza,” on Dec. 1 in the Student Center's Betty R. Tipton Room. A culmination of semester-long projects for students enrolled in “Research Methods II," the event featured more than 50 poster presentations and three student speakers.

New course supports Spanish-speaking businesses Spanish students foster community ties

Eastern's Department of World Languages and Cultures and the Latino Chamber of Windham recently hosted a special event celebrating a semester of community partnerships and hands-on learning. Held on Nov. 19 in the President’s Dining Room at Hurley Hall, the celebration highlighted the experiences of students in the course “Spanish for Business,” led by Lecturer Angela Pitassi.

“Do it afraid. Do it anyway.” This was the message from keynote speaker Celeste Willard at “She Did It Anyway,” a networking event hosted by Eastern Connecticut State University’s Women’s Center. Held on Nov. 13 in the Student Center, the event gave students the opportunity to connect with women who are forging careers in the field of criminal justice.
