Travelers hosts info session with BIS students

Students from the BIS program attended the Travelers BI&A Info Session on Oct. 3 to learn about internship and career opportunities within the Business Insights and Analytics (BI&A) Leadership Development Program. The event featured representatives from Travelers who shared their experiences and insights on various career paths, including roles in business analysis, data engineering, data management, information delivery, geospatial and project coordination.

The session provided attendees with detailed information about the skills and technologies most valued at Travelers, such as Python, SQL, AWS and Snowflake. Students were able to explore how their academic work in areas like data analytics, business intelligence and project management can be applied in real-world settings.

After the presentation, attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and engage in networking with the presenters, while enjoying pizza and refreshments. This session offered a valuable perspective on careers in BI&A, giving students a clearer understanding of the opportunities available at Travelers and how they can align their skills to meet industry demands.
