VIDEO: Eastern's first on-ground career fair in 2 years

The Center for Internships and Career Development (CICD) hosted its first on-ground career fair in two years on March 23. More than 400 students from all majors visited the Geissler Gymnasium to speak with 56 employers from a range of industries.

Employers spanned the nonprofit, governmental, financial, tourism, public safety and other sectors, and included such names as Auditors of Public Accountants, Foxwoods Resort & Casino, Planned Parenthood, Travelers Insurance, U.S. Electrical Services, Inc, Windsor Public Schools and more.

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in spring 2020, the CICD has hosted a variety of virtual career fairs and in-person expos, but this was the first large-scale employee recruitment event in two years that called for students to present resumes, shake hands and network in-person with prospective employers.
