Fulbright Deadline is September 7 for Eastern Seniors and Alumni

Eastern seniors and alumni who are interested in applying for a Fulbright grant for 2022 must submit all materials by 5:00 pm on Tuesday, September 7, 2021.

The U.S. Fulbright Program provides funding for college graduates to spend 8 to 12 months studying, doing independent research or creative work, or teaching English in another country. The competition currently open is for experiences that would begin on or after Fall 2022. Students and alumni interested in applying should contact Julia DeLapp, Coordinator of the Fellowships Office, as soon as possible.

All materials, including the online application, essays, language evaluations, and transcripts must be submitted through Fulbright's online portal by 5 pm on September 7th. In addition, letters of recommendation must be sent by email to Julia DeLapp by 5 pm on September 7th. Application materials are then reviewed by Eastern's Faculty Advisory Committee. Each applicant will be interviewed by the committee on September 13th or 14th.

After their interview with the committee, students will have the opportunity to make revisions to their applications prior to Fulbright's national deadline.
