Martin Mendoza-Botelho

Biography

Dr. Mendoza-Botelho’s (Ph.D. University of Cambridge) primary areas of expertise are political economy and institutional and democratic processes with emphasis on developing countries. His geographical focus is his country of origin Bolivia and Latin America in general, though his comparative interests extend to other settings. His academic career builds on his experience working for specialized agencies of the United Nations and at the Organization of American States in Washington, D.C.

Of Note

Dr. Mendoza-Botelho was has been interviewed by journalistic and academic outlets, including World Politics Review and Russia’s Official Radio Station Radio Sputnik. He also currently serves as Chair for the Bolivia Section of the Latin American Studies Association and is the former Editor in Chief of the Bolivian Research Review journal.
