Brian Day

Biography

Professor Brian Day spent 12 years working in Hollywood on various feature films and TV movies. He has been teaching filmmaking for over 12 years and incorporates a variety of experiential learning practices into his courses. Professor Day has taught at universities in Los Angeles, Georgia, Michigan and Tennessee before coming to Eastern. Professor Day also has made documentary films that have been shown on PBS and distributed around the world. Professor Day earned his M.F.A. in Film from the University of New Orleans.

Professor Day's film The Don Whitehead Story was exhibited on Nashville Public Television in February 2019 and was picked up for global distribution by ProQuest.

Professor Day edited the film American Rebels in Cuba (2019) which has been picked up for global distribution by Cinema Guild.

Sarah Cecelia, a documentary about parental child abduction, released globally through a non-profit in London, England in the fall of 2015.

Winnersville, a documentary about race inequality in a small Southern town, distributed to the educational market by Alexander Street Press starting in the fall of 2015
