Dr. Clermont-Ferrand is an internationally recognized medieval literature scholar. Her current research agenda explores the poetry of Thomas Hoccleve and the intersections of disabled and queer identities in fifteenth-century literature. Before coming to Eastern, Dr. Clermont-Ferrand was a faculty member of the English Department at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. She received her PhD in medieval literature from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1999.
Dr. Clermont-Ferrand is currently the social media coordinator for the International Hoccleve Society.
