Biography

Dr. Carenen's areas of expertise include the relationship between American religious history and foreign policy. She teaches courses on the Cold War, the Vietnam War, Americans and Terrorism, American Religious History, the Arab-Israeli Conflict, and the history of the United States in the Middle East. She enjoys taking students on Global Studies Field Courses to the Middle East. She received her B.A. and M.A. from the University of Georgia and her Ph.D. from Emory University.
