Dr. Kwangwon Lee, associate professor of Education at Eastern, and Juliana Fabrizi, graduate student at Eastern and research assistant at the CECE, traveled to New Orleans in September to present research on Early Childhood teacher candidates' competence in assistive technology.

Their research, titled "Supporting Early Childhood Education Teacher Candidates' Competence in Assistive Technology," explores how embedding assistive technology content into a preservice Early Childhood teacher education program improves teacher candidates' knowledge about, confidence with, and competence in assistive technology.

They visited New Orleans in September to present this research at the Division for Early Childhood of the Council for Exceptional Children's 40th Annual International Conference on Young Children with Disabilities and Their Families.

Lee and Fabrizi anticipate publishing this research in 2025.
