Directions to the CECE

 

The Center for Early Childhood Education is located at the Eastern Connecticut State University campus in Willimantic, Connecticut. The Center is housed within the Margaret S. Wilson Child & Family Development Complex.

Directions from Hartford and Points West

  1. Take I-84 East to Route 384 East.
  2. Bear right to take Route 6 East.
  3. At the intersection of Routes 6 and 66, turn Left to stay on Route 6.
  4. Take the second exit (the sign will say Rt. 195).
  5. Turn right off the exit ramp, following the signs for downtown Willimantic.
  6. Go up a small hill and pass the black metal fence of Eastern's child care center. Immediately after the child care center, turn right on Charter Oak Road.
  7. Go through 2 stop signs.
  8. Make the next right into the parking lot for the Child and Family Development Resource Center (this is the 2nd sign for the Child and Family Development Resource Center). The building is three stories of red brick with a bell tower at the top.

Directions from Boston, New Hampshire and Vermont

  1. Take I-90 West (Mass. Pike) to I-395 (Exit 10).
  2. Take I-395 South to Route 6 (Exit 91).
  3. Take Route 6 West and follow the directions from Providence below.

Directions from Providence and Points East

  1. Take Route 6 West to North Windham. After passing Home Depot and Wal-Mart, bear right to get onto the Route 6 highway.
  2. Take the first exit off the highway (the sign will say Route 195).
  3. Turn left at the stoplight off the exit ramp.
  4. At the next stoplight, turn left on High Street.
  5. Go up a small hill and pass the black metal fence of Eastern's child care center. Immediately after the child care center, turn right on Charter Oak Road.
  6. Go through 2 stop signs.
  7. After the 2nd stop sign, turn right into the parking lot for the Child and Family Development Resource Center (this is the 2nd sign for the Child and Family Development Resource Center). The building is three stories of red brick with a bell tower at the top.

Directions from Norwich and New London

  1. Take Route 395 North to Route 2 (Exit 81 W).
  2. Take Route 2 West to Route 32 (Exit 25).
  3. Take Route 32 North into Willimantic (about 12.5 miles).
  4. Turn right onto Bridge Street, crossing over the Frog Bridge.
  5. Go straight through the first stoplight.
  6. At the next stoplight, turn left onto Valley Street.
  7. Turn right onto High Street.
  8. Turn left on Charter Oak Road, the second entrance to campus.
  9. Go through 2 stop signs.
  10. Make the next right into the parking lot for the Child and Family Development Resource Center (this is the 2nd sign for the Child and Family Development Resource Center). The building is three stories of red brick with a bell tower at the top.
