Social is truly the best word to describe human beings. We depend on having interactions with others, to build upon ourselves. Becoming isolated this quickly, without prior notice, is hard on everyone. Nobody signed up for this, and with that in mind, need to come to terms with what happened. So many things are going to be unavailable now, though they have been available our entire lives. We have to prioritize sharing these resources, communicating clearly, and picking the best solution for everyone. Some things don’t matter as much, and people have to be more mindful. Supporting each other, whether its mentally, emails, video calls, or a rare text every now and then, is important to keeping humanity throughout this. We are social people. We need interaction. Being in a home all day is only part of it, technology has opened the doors for us to explore. Let us take advantage of that. Many assignments we can no longer do, but there is still so much opportunity. Be kind and courteous to others. We don’t know how long this will last, so patience is key. Remember to listen to music every day. Remember to talk to your loved ones, and make sure they’re okay too. Remember to still live. Being isolated doesn’t mean the end of everything. It only ends some things, and could even start others. Don’t just sit home in your own thoughts, that will only deteriorate your mental health. Work on being the improvement during a stalemate like this.
