"I do agree with the fact that no one signed up for this, and that it is important to prioritize, showing compassion and kindness to others during this time. Personally, I have been working in a grocery store and I have seen firsthand how a lot of people are reacting to this situation.
People are becoming angry at others for taking a lot of a certain item, or angry at us for not having a certain item when there is a lot of demand for it. It is in these moments that I wish more people would think about others and how this is affecting them. I have also seen a lot of people complaining about this situation and having to stay home because others are not being considerate and spreading the disease to more people.
I think it is up to us to compensate for those who are not as kind or considerate as others. I hope we can all adapt to having to isolate ourselves, and I know that it is harder for some than others. The strength shown by our teachers and the essential workers that are risking their well-being every day gives me hope that we will become better as humans and as a society once this is over. Hopefully we can all see our similarities and treat each other better as a result of this situation. I certainly have learned to adapt and will be better prepared if something like this ever happens again."
