The Intercultural Center's mission is to create a culture that values, embraces, and grows from diversity, while providing support programs and activities that promote interconnectedness and cultural competence through valuing diverse identities on our campus.
The Intercultural Center in the Arthur L. Johnson Unity Wing is a vibrant hub for diverse students, staff, and faculty members to gather, connect and advance an inclusive community by providing support that includes professional development opportunities through workshops, events, and programs that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
We are committed to enhancing a climate of cultural awareness and inclusion at Eastern by providing services that support, embrace and celebrate a myriad of cultures, identities, and experiences to achieve personal belonging and social togetherness. Our center also consists of a safe, open space for our students to walk in, study, unwind, use our resources, and connect with staff members to discuss any academic, social, or personal concerns.
The Intercultural Center is located on the first floor of the Student Center (Room 114). The center is part of the Arthur L. Johnson Unity Wing, which also includes the Pride Center and Women’s Center.
