Opera-theatre students and alumni of Eastern Connecticut State University will celebrate the career of iconic musical theatre composer Stephen Sondheim on Feb. 9 with a special one-night performance of “Sondheim Tribute Revue.”
The performance will be presented in the Fine Arts Instructional Center's Concert Hall at 7 p.m. Tickets are required.
This special performance was assembled for the cast and features songs from some of Sondheim’s best-known works--“Into the Woods,” “Sweeney Todd,” “Company,” “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,” “A Little Night Music” and “Follies”--as well as gems from some of his lesser-known stage productions, including “Merrily We Roll Along,” “Sunday in the Park with George” and “Anyone Can Whistle.”
Tickets are free for Eastern students and all those 18 and under; $15 for senior citizens; $18 for Eastern faculty, staff and alumni, and $20 for the general public.
